Having a massage does more than just relax your body and mind! There are specific physiological and psychological changes which occur, even more so when massage is utilized as a preventative, frequent therapy and not simply mere luxury. Massage not only feels good, but it can cure what ails you too!

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the systematic use of essential oils or plant essences to maintain and promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I am a certified Aromatherapist. I can work with you on a customized blend to help with your needs.

Ashiatsu Barefoot Bar Massage

A deep tissue massage, “Ashi” in Japanese means “foot.” “atsu” means “pressure.” It is known as “the deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet.” Ashiatsu uses gravitational force & gliding effleurage, from the therapists feet instead of hands. Parallel bars attached to the ceiling are used for balance & proper weight distribution. The size and padding of clean, sanitized soles, provide a push-pull- pump technique that is not only deeper, but more comfortable than traditional massage. Feet vs. hands affect the clients’ parasympathetic nervous system greater, allowing them to dive deeper into relaxation. Therapists can achieve better, more satisfactory results for clients, sustaining fewer injuries to their own muscles & joints. While this can be very deep tissue, lighter pressure can be requested. I just change the way I deliver the pressure to make it comfortable for you. In addition to my studio, I also offer on location services with my portable bars that can be set up in 30 minutes. There is additional cost for mobile service.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. It can help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands (and ears) which correspond to all the glands, organs and parts of the body. Reflexology is a method of using a type of compression massage on these reflex areas to stimulate the movement of energy and nerve supply to the different body systems.

Benefits include:

  • Relieves and reduces stress.
  • Improves the nerve and blood supply and circulation.
  • Assists in detoxification.
  • Assists the body systems to achieve homeostasis and balance.

I am certified in reflexology and can do a entire session or add reflexology to your massage.

Thai Yoga Massage

With roots in both Chinese and Indian medicine, we can trace the origins of this tradition back 2,500 years to when the Buddha arrived in Thailand. This exotic therapy blends yoga-like stretches, rhythmic compressions, acupressure, energy meridian balancing, all resulting in full-body relaxation. This compassionate massage stretches the body, and leaves you feeling peaceful. Client and practitioner work takes place on a traditional Thai mat on the floor. There is no oil used and the client remains completely clothed. Thai massage offers deep passive stretching with joint range of motion for physical, emotional, and energetic benefits. Thai Massage is the perfect compliment to any exercise routine and is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.. I offer traditional Thai massage on a mat on the floor, fully clothed, but I can also incorporate Thai massage into a regular table massage session. Mobile Massage available.
